Dirty Cheap Stocks!? Are they Ripe for Picking?

Since most of the stocks aren’t cheap enough for “kuripots” like me, I surveyed for a list of potentially high rewards stocks. Emphasis on potential.

The criteria?

  • Relatively Low P/E and PBV compare to its peers
  • Should have at least 35% change from COL’s Target Price.
  • Technically cheap, near the support or have a good setup.
  • The ones only covered by COL in their investment guide.

Here’s what I got. Please forgive the newbie analysis.Comments are welcome.

Among those stocks, I only think FGEN and SCC are the only technically bullish for me. FGEN however is facing its resistance at 15.50 (need to break also that RSI hard! You might also want check its weekly chart) While SCC, I think, was adjusted because of its dividend. I like SCC than FGEN at their current level.

MEG – looks like it formed a H&S pattern or it just filling the gap? if the current support will not hold, 1.75 – 1.8 will be the next stop.

CEB- Even though the oil prices drops, it seems that the crowd is still not buying CEB. Are they buying gold instead or maybe they are still  waiting for the result of 2Q12 earnings? Or this is affected by China’s travel advisory to PH? Near 65 would be a good entry.  I hope this will fly soon.

FPH and EDC – I think they still have a lot of work to do to finish that powerplant. Once finished, we will take it from there. Besides, even if it will be completed on December, summer is still the electricity’s demand peak  so is it safe to say that we should see the earnings first be reflected at 2Q13?

ABS – I can’t see a reason why this should be priced at 65. GMA7 is the one will be bought by MVP ayt?  But this is a good candidate for next year as election comes near. But to be valued at 65, I still wonder.

JAP Stocks are also worth looking at their current levels. Just pick carefully. Ore at 5, DIZ at 23 or 27, ABG 20, NI at 7. If it breaks or will not reach that levels, I’d better stay away.

Here are the charts.

MEG

FGEN

SCC
